Are the tires on your Cadillac always showing a low tire pressure when you know it’s perfectly okay. Well it just might be your tire pressure monitoring sensor also known as a TPMS.
The tire pressure monitoring sensor shown above contains a battery is made to last up to 10 years of normal use. It is also designed to communicate perfectly with your GM vehicle’s TPMS Module.
The sensor is connected with the valve stem, and by way of Radio Frequency (RF) technology, sends pressure updates to the vehicle’s on-board computer. Tire pressure is displayed on the vehicle’s Driver Information Center (DIC), or when low, a warning lamp might be illuminated to warn the driver.
